Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies have emerged as transformative innovations in modern graphic design, redefining traditional approaches to visual communication, user interaction, and creative expression. By integrating immersive digital environments with real-world and virtual experiences, AR and VR enable designers to create highly interactive, engaging, and user-centred visual content. These technologies have significantly influenced various domains, including advertising, branding, education, entertainment, healthcare, architecture, and digital marketing. The adoption of AR and VR in graphic design has expanded the scope of three-dimensional visualisation, experiential storytelling, and real-time user engagement. Furthermore, advancements in artificial intelligence, spatial computing, and immersive interfaces have enhanced the effectiveness of AR/VR-based design solutions. Despite their benefits, challenges related to accessibility, technological complexity, development costs, and ethical considerations continue to influence their implementation.
